[§141] Christ Takes Earthly Dominion at Adam-ondi-Ahman
During the future gathering at Adam-ondi-Ahman,1 the thousand thousands (one million) that minister to Adam will be crowned kings and queens.2 These ministers include priesthood holders with keys of authority from all seven dispensations of time.3 They are typified by the seven high priests that attended the ancient gathering at Adam-ondi-Ahman.4 John calls these seven dispensational keyholders the seven thunders in Revelation 10:3-4.5 At the future gathering, these heads of the seven major gospel dispensations6 will report their stewardship with others7 and deliver to Adam the keys of their ministry.8 Adam, in turn, will deliver the keys of the priesthood for all the earth to Jesus Christ.9 By this transfer of priesthood keys,10 Christ will be coronated Lord of lords and King of kings as he begins to retake dominion on earth from Satan.11
When Christ begins to take earthly dominion at Adam-ondi-Ahman, Modern Babylon will spiritually fall and Satan's earthly dominion will begin to break down and collapse.12 The dominion of Christ will necessarily replace the dominion of Satan.13 They cannot continue to co-exist with the imminent approach of the Second Coming.14 However, the complete rise of Christ's kingdom and the corresponding physical fall of Satan's kingdom will take another 3½ years while the battle of Armageddon runs its full seven-year course.15
When Christ receives all priesthood keys at Adam-ondi-Ahman, he will begin to personally govern his ecclesiastical kingdom,16 which is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.17 Christ will also begin to establish his millennial kingdom,18 which is both an ecclesiastical and political kingdom.19 The political grows out of the ecclesiastical.20 When the saints gather to Adam-ondi-Ahman, Christ will establish his political kingdom in Zion with its capital at Independence, Missouri.21 Christ's millennial kingdom will be fully established22 when Modern Babylon physically falls23 and Christ makes a full end of all nations at the Second Coming.24
