You’ll find the ancient Roman aqueduct of Aqua Virgo in the basement of the Rinascente shopping complex in Rome. Aqua Virgo was one of eleven aqueducts in ancient Rome. The aqueduct was built by Marcus Agrippa between 25 and 19 BC. Portions of the aqueduct are still in use today and it supplies water to various fountains in Rome, including Trevi Fountain.
