012 Pergamos 2

This video shows the sights and sounds of the ancient ruins of the acropolis located in Pergamum (Pergamos) in the Izmir province of Turkey. Pergamos was the third of seven cities that John wrote to in the Book of Revelation. The video describes the history of the ancient ruins located on the acropolis, including the palaces of the kings, the temple of Dionysus, the theater, the foundations for temple of Zeus or great altar, the upper agora, gymnasium areas, and the sacred precinct of the cult rulers (Heroon).
