[§308] Rev 19:7-8: Marriage of the Lamb and His Wife [the Church]

8/23/2026
This podcast explains the symbolism and imagery used by John in Revelation 19:7-9 to describe the marriage of the Lamb in heaven on Mount Zion, and the marriage supper of the Lamb on earth at the Second Coming. These verses say: “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed [are] they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.” Honor is given to God the Father, when the marriage of the Lamb (Jesus Christ) is come during the Third Woe of the seventh seal at the Second Coming. The wife of Christ represents the exaltation-worthy saints from all ages, who have prepared themselves by obedience to all God's commandments. Their righteousness is symbolized by the clean, white, and fine linen cloth that they are worthy to wear as a wedding dress. They are granted this privilege because of their righteousness and the grace of God through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Revelation 19:19 expresses the fourth of seven beatitudes found in the book of Revelation. In this verse, all celestial-worthy people called to the marriage supper of the Lamb are blessed. The marriage supper will occur on earth at New Jerusalem (Zion) in Missouri at the time of Christ’s first appearance of the Second Coming when he comes suddenly to his temple in Independence, Missouri. Isaiah calls the marriage supper the feast of fat things and the Doctrine and Covenants refers to it as a supper of the house of the Lord, connecting the exalting ordinances of the temple with those who attend the marriage supper as a bride of Christ. During the marriage supper, Christ will partake of the sacrament with all the celestial-worthy attendees from all ages. The marriage supper is a feast distinguished from, and opposite of, "the supper of the great God” described by John in Revelation 19:17-18. During this second metaphorical meal, flesh-eating beasts feast upon the dead bodies of the wicked who die at the Second Coming. -------------------------- Chapters 00:00 Welcome to Unveiling Jesus Christ 00:30 Introduction to Revelation 19:7-9 10:34 Honor to the Lamb for His Marriage (Rev 19:7) 21:08 The Consummation of the Marriage (Rev 19:7) 30:54 The Bride is Arrayed in Fine Linen (Rev 19:8) 35:43 The Timing of the Earthly Marriage Supper (Rev 19:9) 42:05 The Sacrament of the Marriage Supper 44:19 Celestial-Worthy People Attend the Marriage Supper 47:44 Concluding Facts About The Marriage Supper -------------------------- 🔗 Where to Find More from Unveiling Jesus Christ ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UnveilingJesusChrist ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/unveilingjesuschrist/ ► Website: https://www.unveilingjesuschrist.com/
