[§194] Rev 12:1: The Sign of the Woman Is the Premortal Church

This podcast explains the images and symbolism found in Revelation 12:1. This verse identifies the great sign of a woman in heaven who represents the premortal church of God. This great sign has its likenesses on earth, including the church organized by Christ in the meridian of time. God the father organized this church at the time of the grand council in heaven on Kolob when Jesus Christ was chosen to be the creator and Redeemer before the foundations of this earth were laid. God's spirit children who had faith in Jesus Christ became members of this premortal church and were called the sons of God. God’s spirit children who rebelled with Lucifer became members of the premortal church of the devil and were called sons of Perdition.   The woman is dressed in the sun to symbolize her light-filled countenance. She stands on the moon to represent her dominion over all lesser kingdoms. She has a crown of 12 stars that represent the 12 tribes of Israel, not the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ.
