[§192] Lucifer’s Fall on Kolob Is a Type for Adam’s Fall on Earth

To better understand the spiritual fall of Lucifer when he rebelled during the grand council in heaven on Kolob, this podcast compares Lucifer's fall with the fall of Adam in the garden of Eden. The fall of Lucifer foreshadows the fall of Adam. Before the fall of Lucifer, the premortal first estate was a sinless environment where God's innocent spirit children dwelt in his presence. There was agency, but no accountability. The same is true of Adam and Eve's dwelling in the garden of Eden prior to the fall of Adam. When Adam fell, all of creation fell with him. Thereafter, he and Eve could no longer be in God's presence. That was also true of the premortal conditions when Lucifer fell. The two separate falls brought an end to innocence in their respective spheres.
